The Good Living In Italy

Most people think of style when you mention Italy. Their food is packed of flavor, and they are cooked with a desire to serve nothing but the best.

Variety is the spice of life; kitchens all over the country try to outwit one another with new recipes, each one tastier than their neighbors.

Italian people are driven by their zest for life. They live life to the fullest.

Boys would cruise in their open top sports cars looking for admiring girls. Girls drink coffees dressed in designer clothing, pretending not to notice. This is the modern day mating ritual, and it continues on and on.

In other parts of Italy, tourists are swarming to see the beautiful country.

The majority of holidaymakers fly into Rome and make a beeline for the Colosseum. The ancient ruin is such a sight to see. It was built in 80 AD as an arena.

Within the walls of Rome lies the Vatican. It's actually not part of Italy if you want to get technical; it's an independent state and it is the smallest country in the globe. People visit the St. Peter's Cathedral to see Christianity's finest Renaissance church. Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel is another must see, though you may have to compete with large crowds. It is advisable to book your visit beforehand.

Assisi is a small town in the mountains that overlooks Perugia. In this place, you should visit the 14th century fortress of Rocca Maggiore. Assisi is also the birthplace of St. Francis.

In the north of Italy sits the vogue city of Milan. The town is famous for its fashion businesses and exquisite shopping. Here you can find the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, the oldest shopping mall in the world.

The Biblioteca Ambrosiana holds sketches by Leonardo da Vinci amid its considerable resources of books and drawings. It's actually one of the main libraries of the European culture.
