Get The Travel Bug Even On A Budget!

If you've got the travel bug but don't have the funds, you may feel like a destination vacation is a distant dream. Nuh-uh! Traveling on a budget has never been easier, and if you think budget means dirty communal hostels, think again. And please, don't keep going "I'll have my dream vacation next year, why bother now?" So if you're feeling the pinch, all you've got to do is plan carefully so you can still go on that dream vacation THIS YEAR instead of next.

If your idea of a grand getaway includes tall, stately yet mellow palm trees and sapphire blue waters, you may be living your dream in no time - we repeat, no time! Well, hop on an all-inclusive and you'll see what we mean - these are available at some of the world's finest tropical locales, including Mexico, Barbados and the Dominican Republic. An all-inclusive vacation package would basically include food, drink, shelter and air fare all in one rock-bottom price that's sure to shock the bejeesus out of you. Many resorts also offer fun activities that are included as well. And if you book last minute, you may also be seeing some serious savings on your hotel reservation. And sometimes, the best tropical option is the one right under your nose. Aside from Hawaii, you can also find some of the most pristine beaches in Florida and California - it may not be the Cabo or Cancun, but sure close to it in quality!

If you're considering a European getaway, don't let the euro scare you straight to the Knotts Berry Farm. If you plan on staying in one city for the duration of your vacation, consider renting an apartment. Just like a bed-and-breakfast without the food, apartment rentals offer an inexpensive option for the budget-minded traveler. And if you are able to rent for yourself a quaint, yet roomy apartment, you can check out some of the less bustling spots of Europe's finest cities. Many also include kitchenettes so you can enjoy fresh meals from local grocery stores. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Or if you want to visit multiple cities, try traveling off-peak, as this is when prices normally tumble down significantly.

If you still book your flights and hotels with a travel agent and think online booking isn't for you, then we've got three and a half words - that's so 1999. You can go online and book hotels and flights, saving you significantly in the process, and you can keep checking regularly for the most updated prices. As an added value, many travel websites will send you an email to notify you of any change in your airfare costs. You can go on the Internet and book your entire vacation online and save a whole lot.

Two things, really - research and planning. Even if your budget may be low, you can still see the world and have one memorable vacation!
