France itself is one of the most visited countries in the world, but Paris, the capital, has millions of visitors every year. Throngs of people visit Paris to see the city's museums and other attractions, enjoy the delicious food and wine, and bask in the city's renowned romantic ambience.

The city has plenty of hotels, but whether you're staying for a week or more than a month, Paris apartments give you the opportunity to enjoy a more authentic Parisian experience.

Typically, if you rent Paris apartment accommodations, you'll also enjoy a less expensive way to stay in the city, especially if you're traveling with your family or another group of people.

Paris is comprised of twenty numbered arrondissements, the local name for districts or neighborhoods. Paris apartments can be rented in any arrondissement, but because each district has its own character it can be fun to choose which one to stay in.

Each arrondissement has its own character and it can be fun choosing the area that is just right for you. The 18th was the home to artists such as Picasso and Van Gogh and still retains its artistic and Bohemian atmosphere, while the 1st is right in the center and within easy reach of one of the world's great museums, the Louvre and some of the city's most stylish shopping. The 4th is close to the River Seine and is home to several major sights, including Notre Dame Cathedral.

Regardless of where your apartment is located, Paris boasts one of the world's most efficient transport systems and your temporary home will be within easy reach of the famous Metro system, which can speed you to any part of the city in minutes. Renting an apartment allows you to live as the locals do while you are visiting.

When you rent Paris apartment accommodations, you'll be able to save money because it will have its own kitchen. That means you can not only prepare your own meals, but enjoy shopping at nearby bakeries, markets and butcher's shops for ingredients.

You'll get a feel for what it must be like to live in Paris, even if you're only there temporarily, and most apartment renters find out that their neighbors are happy to provide directions and advice.

Most Paris apartments come fully furnished and include all the amenities you'd find in a hotel, and many have more living space as well.

So if your travel plans are bringing you to the 'City of Light' consider renting an apartment for a memorable and enjoyable stay.
