Top Three Tourist Destinations For A Dubai Holiday

Dubai is a city built for tourism all around the year with excellent hotels, resorts, shopping and places to visit. So if you're going on a Dubai holiday, consider these three brilliant tourist destinations described in brief detail.

Dubai Creek

At the Dubai Creek visitors can take a small water taxi, called abra, allowing them to see the old trading port and the dhows from the water. The Creek is an historic part of Dubai, a natural sea water inlet that flows through the major thoroughfares of the city. You can view a good many landmarks of modern and historic times by going on a quick jaunt to Al-Maktoum. A leisure walk round the walk will impress with a picturesque glimpse at Dubai's trading history.

Bastakiya

Does it sometimes strike you as odd how people were able to survive the sweltering heat when there was no such thing as electricity, much less air conditioning? Look no further than Bastakiya, as this district hearkens back to the days when wind towers cooled the average domicile. Dubai used to be well-renowned for these then-sophisticated wind towers strategically located on both sides of the creek. Present-day Dubai is still replete with many architectural structures of a more vintage milieu, and these narrow lanes earmarked for development are still very popular with tourists.

Souks

These are the traditional markets of Dubai and they are very popular for bargain hunters but sightseers and photographers enjoy them too. The gold market or gold souk is literally and figuratively the most brilliant of these markets, and in here you can find a cornucopia of shoppes that offer gold items, all sorts of gold items such as intricate jewellery and gold bars. The traditional spice souk has tiny lanes scented with sacks of cinnamon, incense, spices, and dried fruits. While the modern fish souk is typically teeming with hustle and bustle, this area is a little less friendly to the olfactory senses. On the other streets you can find everything from carpets to traditional pieces or loaves of bread.

While these three are what we feel are the best that Dubai has to offer, other attractions such as the Grand Mosque and Wild Wadi are sure to pique your interest and make your vacation in Dubai one that will leave you coming back for more.
