Bring your own food and beverages for small meals or snacks. Your goal is to have fun at the attractions, but food inside the parks is very pricey. Pack lots of sunscreen. The weather in Florida is bright and sunny year round, so you definitely don't want to forget sunscreen. Don't forget sunglasses either.

If you plan to check out a water park, bring water shoes and rent a locker to keep track of your belongings.

Since gratuities are not included in the packages, you should make sure you have enough cash handy for tips.

If you're bringing small children, check to see which rides and attractions have height or age requirements and plan accordingly.

It would be a good idea to buy trip insurance if you plan to travel during the hurricane season. A Disney World vacation is rarely an inexpensive one. You should be covered in the event that something happens.

Carry a minimum amount of cash. You are better off carrying travelers' checks and credit cards, knowing that they can be canceled in case of loss.

If your budget allows it, get the FastPass ticket option for each member of your party. It can considerably reduce the amount of time you spend in line.

Stretch your trip as long as you can. There is so much to see and do, that you will want to stay as long as you can to see as much as you can to make the trip worth the money. There are so many things to do and see and the longer you stay, the more you benefit from Disney World discounts.

Have a lot of fun, but make sure you remain flexible for sudden changes of schedule due to bad weather. You will have fun no matter what, but good planning goes a long way to ensure your vacation will be a memorable one.
