Price isn't Everything When Buying Luggage

Ever heard of plastic rollers, broken zippers, ripped seams, and bent handles? These are bad effects you may get if you buy a luggage based on price. If you want to protect your things, you don't want to scrimp on the cost of luggage.

If you purchase a warranty on your luggage, not much is really covered in the end and it will also be confusing. Sending your item for repair is not really worth it.

With inexpensive luggage, one very common problem that occurs is the use of plastic wheels or rollers. Plastic rollers do not roll well and tend to break easily. Because your luggage will be prone to tipping over, dragging it on the thin airport carpet will be difficult. Your luggage will end up spending more time on its sides than on its wheels.

Also a common problem is the extendable handle's poor construction. Sometimes, these handles do not properly extend and lock which will eventually bend the handle. Once it bends, it can no longer extend properly, making the handle useless and making it impossible for you to pull your wheeled luggage.

Broken zippers can't be fix. If your luggage has one of those big, cheap metal zippers, chances are at some point its going to split. It could happen when your luggage is too full or when it gets squashed by a heavier luggage.

To make sure none of the scenarios happen to you, there is one thing you can do. Buy luggage from a well-known manufacturer. To see what others have experienced, read lots of consumer reviews on the luggage you want to purchase. Try checking out the brand you have your eye on in the Internet. Compare, and don't fall for sales that advertise $400 luggage for $200. Avoid being sucked-in by a "designer" luggage. Just because Calving Klein makes great jeans doesn't mean they can also make great luggage. In great luggage, construction is everything.

What kind of use will your luggage get? If you travel frequently, more expensive luggage is definitely worth the money. Open the luggage thoroughly and check the inside while shopping.
