Recently, there has been a sharp increase in tourism in Panama and travelers worldwide have discovered the beautiful spots that this country has to offer. In this article, you will discover where are the best places to visit in this beautiful country.

Panama is located between Colombia and Costa Rica. Its capital is Panama city with a population of four million people. The official language of this country is Spanish although there is a large expatriate community who speaks English. The business community is generally bilingual as well.

Panama was voted one of the best place to do business in Latin America and has been receiving a lot of investment interest. One of the reasons for this is that the country is home to the Panama Canal. This engineering wonder has allowed ships to travel between the Pacific and Atlantic ocean in approximately one day. This would have normally taken close to one month to do. This canal has been extremely successful and is currently expanding to be able to accommodate larger ship called post Panamax which cannot currently cross the canal due to its size.

Casco Viejo is an extremely visited tourist attractions as it has beautiful architecture that resembles Havana or the French quarters in New Orleans. Casco Viejo is also filled with very trendy restaurants and bars making it a favorite spot for locals as well. UNESCO as declared it as a site of world interest in 1988.

Panama is filled with beautiful beaches on the Pacific ocean and Atlantic ocean. The most famous beaches are located on Contadora island, San Blas, Bocas del Toro and Playa Blanca just to name a few. All of these locations have great hotels, resorts and restaurants to choose from.

As you can see, there are plenty of tourist attractions for your vacation in the Republic of Panama.
