Hardside Luggage - Do This To Find Your Hardside Luggage At The Baggage Claim

In all of the chaos of getting around in a busy airport, your main objective after your plane lands is to get your checked hardside luggage as soon as possible. But the baggage carousel always seems to hinder this step.

Your bags are mixed in with everyone else's, and there's more added as you search. Many available styles of luggage look similar, and there isn't much difference in many of the outward styles, colors, or shapes.

In this crazy mess, you need to track down your own bag without taking someone else's by accident, hope that someone did not take yours by accident, and also hope that your luggage has not been lost. On top of this, you are probably already stressed and tired from your travels. No wonder baggage claim is a total pain.

Before traveling again with checked hardside luggage, follow one or more of the tips below. They will make it easier for you to find your luggage on the baggage carousel. And they make it harder for another person to pick up your bag by accident.

Utilize Decals Or Stickers -- If you don't mind changing up the appearance of your luggage a little, look for large, durable, highly adhesive stickers or decals that are difficult to remove or fall off. Affix them to your luggage to make your bag look more unique and distinctive. The easier they are to spot, the better when it comes to finding your luggage.

Tie Something Noticeable Around The Handle -- The quickest and easiest thing you can do to make your luggage easier to find is to tie a bright ribbon or cloth strip around the handle. The first time I flew, this was one of the pieces of advice I received. Make it a very unique, bright pattern instead of plain neon for the best results.

Accessorize It -- If strips of cloth around the handle doesn't appeal to you, and stickers and decals are too permanent, then try accessorizing instead with unique luggage accessories. Many fun colors and interesting patterns can be found for luggage straps and tags. Some of the luggage locks available even have brightly colored styles. Whatever you choose and decide to use, make sure that it is TSA compliant in case your bag is chosen for a random security check.

Buy A Different Design Or Color -- If you need to look for new luggage soon, then make sure that you factor in the ability to spot it quickly. Before choosing luggage in a very plain color, such as black or navy, look for ones with different colors, such as light blue or hot pink. Or look for patterns such as polka dots, floral, or even animal prints. Hardside luggage that looks different from the norm automatically makes it much easier for you to find no matter where it rests on the baggage carousel.
